Giving it a second chance

Lately, I've re-discovered a couple artists and releases that I had in my collection at one point and then got rid of for some reason. On second chance, I've found that I either didn't give them a proper shake the first time I heard them, or that my tastes simply didn't quite connect the same on the first go-around.

You have any releases/artists like this?

Help, I'm melting...

Every year, we get an intense heat snap for at least a week or so, and we're in the midst of it now. It's supposed to be 100 degrees fahrenheit (38 celsius) for the next 5 days or so and all I want to listen to is stuff with light melodies and propulsive beats.

Feel free to jabber about anything.

What's on the horizon?

The last discussion talked about great stuff for the first half of the year, and I'm trying to decide what's still coming in 2008 that I should get excited about.

There's certainly some specific stuff that's been announced that I'm excited to hear, but I know I'm missing some things, right?

5/12ths down

Well, the year is almost officially 5/12ths down. Lots of pretty good stuff has arrived (although not as much stuff has blown me away as I thought it would), and a lot more to come.

Are you feeling more excited than usual, just about normal, or somewhat disappointed in terms of music in 2008 so far?
